Strengths:
Strategy Marketplace commentary
Weaknesses:
Employee information Non-financial KPIs
Prudential’s market overview details the demographic trends driving change in the financial services industry. Highlighting the key trends in each of the group’s main markets, the overview demonstrates the opportunities these present – and explains how these underpin the group’s strategy. Further detail about opportunities and challenges in the market, supported by external data, is also found in the business unit reviews.

The group’s strategy is summarised in the group chief executive’s strategic review, where progress against the 2007 priorities is described and priorities for 2008 provided.

Financial KPIs are graphed and explained, but the report lacks non-financial metrics, including data relating to environmental and employee issues. The level of employee content is also a weakness and this information lacks integration throughout the report.
